Plants & Produce

I would much rather people bought food that was local and sustainable… than food that had to be shipped around the world.

Plants & Produce

Our Plants & Produce is held at the same time as the Coffee Mornings from 10.30am, the first Tuesday of the month (unless a public holiday).

If the weather is good we like to arrange the plants and produce outside in the garden on our picnic tables. Otherwise, we will set up tables in the Hall.

The photo (by Sue) shows a mature fuchsia picked up as a young plant from Plants and Produce.

How it works

People bring in their seeds, plants and anything gardening and produce related to swop, sell or to raise money for the Hall.

Many of us bring in seeds, plants, cuttings and fresh local seasonal fruit and vegetables and generously ask for donations to the Hall.

The photo (by Sue) shows freshly picked local, organic apples and plums generously brought to our Plants & Produce.

However you decide to do it, a coffee, a homemade cake
and friendly chat is always very welcome!

Sweet Fresh Organic Apples

These beautifully bright, desert apples have been freshly picked by Annis on the morning of our Plants and Produce.

A deliciously sweet taste of the countryside from down the road. We are not sure we can get any more eco friendly than this!
